So how does Minoxidil work?

The exact mechanism of action of minoxidil is uncertain. Hair goes through several phases as it grows. At first, it enters an anagen phase. This is the period in which the hair grows. After this, it goes into catagen and telogen phases, in which it shrinks, detaches from the follicle and is replaced by a new hair.  However, researchers believe that minoxidil works by lengthening the time that hair spends in its active growth phase, and by restoring the size of the inactive hair follicles so that they can return to producing thick, long strands of hair.

Minoxidil revives the inactive follicles sitting near the scalp surface, nudging them from their resting phase (known as telogen) into their growth phase (known as anagen). With more follicles in the growth phase at the same time, you can grow new hair and existing hair will regrow thicker, stronger and healthier.

Directions: Using the included dropper, apply up to 1mL of the product directly to areas of hair loss or thinning.  The product should be used twice daily with at least eight hours between the two applications.  Avoid contact with the eyes.  In case of accidental contact, rinse eyes thoroughly with cool water.

• Biotin (Vitamin H): An essential B-vitamin that promotes healthy hair and hair health. This ingredient strengthens both the hair follicle and the hair shaft, from which the hair grows.
• Saw Palmetto: Multiple studies establish saw palmetto’s ability to encourage hair by targeting the main culprit of genetic hair loss.
